Daozheng Lu

Daozheng “Dawson” Lu is Managing Director and one of the founding owners of Sino-American Investment Company. He is also an active commodity futures and options trader, and a venture capitalist.

As a veteran research scientist and engineering executive, Dawson worked for Nielsen Media Research (now called “the Nielsen Company”), a media research giant in U.S. for 19 years, where he served as Vice President of Research and Development. Dawson is the inventor or a co-inventor of more than 27 U.S. Patents; he has published a book which was used by several universities in China as a text book; and has published or presented many scientific papers in various professional journals or conferences. Earlier, he was an adjunct associate professor at the University of Florida in Gainesville and was on the faculty of Fudan University in Shanghai, China for 18 years.

As an activist of community, Dawson was president and one of the founders of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay, was elected to two terms of President of Suncoast Association of Chinese American (SACA), both are non-profit organizations in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Presently, he sits on the Board of Director of PLUS Charitable Trust, Inc. in charge of various school projects.




Simon Lu

Simon Lu is a Managing Director and one of the founding owners of Sino-American Investment Company. Simon brings over 20 years of executive management and business operations experiences with a proven track record in building world-class organizations. Simon is a Co-Founder of inLife, where he is responsible for the company’s worldwide operations. Mr. Lu is a serial entrepreneur where he has co-founded and built Affinity Doors, Avalon Doors, Alternative Solutions, Milano Cabinetry, Fitz & Lu Capital and Thenticate (a biometric security company).

Prior to being an entrepreneur, Simon was the VP of Operations and Services at SourcingLink. He was responsible for over 95% of the company’s worldwide revenue. Prior to SourcingLink, Simon was the Regional Director at Ariba where he was responsible for building the Ariba Global Solution delivery organization for the west region from the ground up, and increasing the revenue run-rate from 0 to $14 million in a year. Simon’s organization supported clients ranging from startups to Global 2000s. Prior to Ariba, Simon has held various senior management positions at Oracle, KPMG and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).

Furthermore, Simon is an expert in biometrics technologies where he performed his Masters and PhD studies. Mr. Lu has received several patents and published several papers on biometrics technologies and other topics.
